Description

As a member and patron of the Act for Planet association, Roy René is committed to supporting citizen-led, community-based and entrepreneurial initiatives in the fields of agriculture, livestock farming and agroforestry. The organisation funds tree planting on agricultural land in Provence and, since 2019, nearly 900 chestnut trees have already been planted as part of an agroforestry scheme on the Contadour Plateau in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Planting trees on agricultural land in Provence helps to combat global warming by absorbing CO₂, restore biodiversity by promoting pollination by insects, and also combat soil erosion and protect birds.
