Do you know the history of the shuttles ?
The Provence shuttle symbolizes the boat that brought Marie Jacobé, Marie Salomé and Sara from Palestine to the coasts of Provence. The village of Saintes-Maries de la Mer in the Camargue was named in honor of these three Saintes. To recall this story, the name Navette was given to a cookie whose shape resembles a boat.
