For centuries, the calisson of Aix-en-Provence has embodied an unchanging tradition. Each Roy René confectioner perpetuates a precious savoir-faire, precisely combining finely ground almonds, candied melon from Provence, and orange peel, arranged on a thin wafer and covered with royal icing.
Today, this historic recipe is enriched by a deep commitment: 50% almonds from Provence in each calisson, offering enhanced authenticity and flavor intensity, directly from the terroir.
Presented in an elegant diamond-shaped metal box, these calissons combine tradition and refinement. An ideal setting to offer or savor these Provençal delicacies in style.
Our commitment
The Roy René confectionery plays a major role in the revitalization of the almond industry in Provence. As a founding member of the steering committee dedicated to this initiative, it has contributed to the structuring of the industry and the planting of thousands of almond trees, significantly increasing the use of Provençal almonds since 2014.
As part of its eco-responsible approach, Roy René raises awareness of environmental and biodiversity preservation, notably through the creation of an agroecological almond grove and a heritage orchard around its factory in Aix-en-Provence.
